  We as a family went to the Colombe Castle in Colyton specificly to have a Carvery meal at lunch time one Sunday. We arrived there at 13.55hrs only to find they stop serving carvery at 14.00hrs. My wife went in to ask if we were too late to order only to be told No Problem.
  We have had many carvery meals in various places BUT this one beats them all hands down. We just could not believe the portions of three meats Pork Beef and Gammon, we could only just see the bottom of the plate.The vegetables complimenting the meet were cooked to perfection, the gravy delicious.
  We sat and enjoyed our carvery very much indeed. Tom the manager i believe was very attentive and told us to go back for as much vegetables as we wished for,well after such a splendid meal there was no need to go back for more.My wife had a sweet but me i was full. The choice of sweet was tempting though.Mt wife chose the Sticky Toffee Pudding and remarked how nice it was. They do a sweet called Hanky Panky Pudding i never found what this was but after such a super carvery i had no room or call for Hanky Panky ! This place is outstanding for food. They also have live music on weekends and some week nights,right up my strassa. No doubt The Colcombe Castle will be seeing more of us to the point they may get fed up with seeing us (sic) Go there and see for yourselves. My review is genuine. Enjoy.
